Miles Overview
The 2016 Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, a roomy four-door that competes with the Chevrolet Impala and Toyota Avalon. The Taurus feels substantial on the highway, with a confident, planted ride that makes long trips easy. Inside, the cabin is spacious with comfortable seats, though the rear windows are small and can feel confining. The SYNC system handles hands-free calling and voice commands, but the interface can feel dated compared to newer rivals. The SEL adds the SYNC system with voice control, a power-adjustable driver's seat, and dual-zone automatic climate control over the base SE. Its 2.0L I4 makes 240 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic driving the front wheels, delivering 23 mpg combined.
