Miles Overview
The 2012 Taurus is Ford's full-size sedan, a roomy cruiser that competes with the Toyota Avalon and Chevrolet Impala. The Taurus feels substantial on the road, with a confident, planted ride that soaks up highway miles easily. Inside, the cabin is spacious and comfortable, with generous legroom for tall drivers and a large trunk for road trips. Ford's Sync infotainment system is standard, and higher trims add features like heated leather seats and a sunroof. Front-wheel drive and the standard cloth seats mark the SE as the entry point, sitting below the SEL and Limited trims. Its 3.5L V6 makes 263 horsepower and sends power through a six-speed automatic to the front wheels, returning 22 mpg combined. The SE skips the available all-wheel drive and leather of pricier trims, but keeps the same smooth ride and spacious cabin.
