Miles Overview
The 2003 Mustang is Ford's pony car, a rear-drive coupe or convertible that's all about affordable performance. It's a lively rear-drive car that's genuinely fun to hustle down a back road, with a manual gearbox that makes you feel connected. The cabin is simple and a bit plasticky, but the front seats are comfortable and the stereo options are strong. Owners note the paint can bubble and chip, and the rear seat is cramped, so keep expectations realistic. The SVT Cobra is the range-topping Mustang, with the V8 and supercharger that the GT and V6 don't get. The 4.6L V8 makes 390 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, so it pulls hard all the way to redline. You get an independent rear suspension here that the other Mustangs don't have, which helps it put the power down.
