Miles Overview
The 2001 Mustang SVT Cobra is the high-performance version of Ford's pony car, built to take on the Camaro SS and Trans Am. The ride is firm and the cabin is snug, but that's the trade for the sharp handling and direct steering. You get a simple, driver-focused cockpit with supportive seats and a chunky leather-wrapped wheel. The SVT Cobra is the top Mustang for 2001, with a hand-assembled engine and unique suspension tuning you don't get in the GT or V6. Its 4.6L V8 makes 260 horsepower and pairs only with a manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving it a muscular, eager feel off the line and through the gears.
