Miles Overview
The 2003 Mustang is Ford's pony car, a rear-drive coupe or convertible that's all about affordable performance. It's a lively rear-drive car that's genuinely fun to hustle down a back road, with a manual gearbox that makes you feel connected. The cabin is simple and a bit plasticky, but the front seats are comfortable and the stereo options are strong. Owners note the paint can bubble and chip, and the rear seat is cramped, so keep expectations realistic. The GT Premium sits above the base V6 and GT, adding leather seats and a Mach 460 stereo that the standard GT skips. Its 4.6L V8 makes 225 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque, and with the five-speed automatic it's a relaxed cruiser that still has a nice V8 rumble. The convertible top is power-operated and easy to use, but expect some wind noise at highway speeds.
