Miles Overview
The ride is firm but not harsh, and the seats are supportive, though the cabin is full of hard plastic. The back seat is small, so it's best for two people, and the trunk is modest but usable. Choosing the base Mustang instead of the GT gives you the thrifty 3.8L V6 with 150 horsepower, a big savings at the pump and on the window sticker. The 3.8L V6 pairs with a five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, good for 21 mpg combined and enough torque to hustle along without revving hard. Drop the soft top on this convertible and the V6 feels perfectly relaxed, though the frameless windows let in more wind noise than the coupe.
