Miles Overview
The 2003 Mustang is Ford's pony car, a rear-drive coupe or convertible that's all about affordable performance. It's a lively rear-drive car that's genuinely fun to hustle down a back road, with a manual gearbox that makes you feel connected. The cabin is simple and a bit plasticky, but the front seats are comfortable and the stereo options are strong. Owners note the paint can bubble and chip, and the rear seat is cramped, so keep expectations realistic. Its 4.6L V8 makes 150 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque through a five-speed automatic, and you'll see 18 mpg combined with the automatic. The Premium trim adds leather seats and a Mach 1000 audio system, so the cabin feels a step up from the base GT.
