Miles Overview
The 2016 Focus is Ford's compact hatchback and sedan, competing with the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, and Volkswagen Golf. The Focus handles corners with enthusiasm, and the ST and RS models deliver serious performance for the class. The ride is composed on most trims, though the sportier versions are firm, which is the price of their handling. Inside, the Focus offers a modern cabin with available SYNC infotainment, and the hatchback provides generous cargo space. Some owners have reported transmission issues, particularly with the automatic, so a manual is worth seeking out. Stepping up from the Titanium to the ST swaps luxury appointments for a sharper chassis and the more powerful 2.0L I4. The 2.0L I4 makes 252 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque, and with the six-speed automatic it returns 25 mpg combined.
