Miles Overview
The 1991 Mustang is Ford's classic rear-wheel-drive pony car, offered as a hatchback, a sedan, or a convertible. It's quick off the line and eager to rev, with a feel that's more raw and connected than any modern sports coupe. Owners mention the hatch struts wear out yearly, the carpet can get ratty, and the driver's door may sag and leak over time. A 5.0L V8 and a sport-tuned suspension set the GT apart from the LX, giving it a sharper, more aggressive character. The 5.0L V8 sends 225 horsepower to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, and it pulls hard from any speed. The convertible body style means you get open-air driving, but expect some cowl shake over rough pavement and more wind noise than the hatchback.
