Miles Overview
The 1991 Mustang is Ford's classic rear-wheel-drive pony car, offered as a hatchback, a sedan, or a convertible. It's quick off the line and eager to rev, with a feel that's more raw and connected than any modern sports coupe. Owners mention the hatch struts wear out yearly, the carpet can get ratty, and the driver's door may sag and leak over time. With the manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, this LX hatchback is a few hundred pounds lighter than the GT, so it feels even quicker off the line. The LX's base suspension is stiffer than the GT's, which means a rougher ride but sharper turn-in and less body roll through corners.
