Miles Overview
The 1500 is Ram's full-size pickup, the one that goes up against the F-150 and Silverado with a focus on ride comfort and interior space. It drives with a smooth, car-like feel for a truck, and the steering is light enough for easy around-town maneuvering. The coil-spring rear suspension gives it a noticeably smoother ride than leaf-sprung rivals, especially when you're not hauling. Inside, the cabin is roomy and well laid out, and the available crew cab offers generous rear-seat legroom for adults. The SLT adds chrome bumpers, body-color grille, and upgraded cloth upholstery over the base ST, plus power windows and locks as standard. With the 5.7L V8 and four-wheel drive, this SLT pulls hard when you need it, and the automatic transmission shifts smoothly whether you're towing or cruising. The coil-spring rear suspension keeps the ride comfortable on pavement, but you'll feel the truck's weight more over rough dirt roads.
