Miles Overview
The 1500 is Ram's full-size pickup, the one that goes up against the F-150 and Silverado with a focus on ride comfort and interior space. It drives with a smooth, car-like feel for a truck, and the steering is light enough for easy around-town maneuvering. The coil-spring rear suspension gives it a noticeably smoother ride than leaf-sprung rivals, especially when you're not hauling. Inside, the cabin is roomy and well laid out, and the available crew cab offers generous rear-seat legroom for adults. The mid-level SLT sits between the base ST and the fancier Laramie, adding convenience items like power windows and locks you won't find on the entry truck. Under the hood is a strong 5.7L V8 with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, so it pulls hard when you need it and handles slippery roads with confidence. Expect a firm ride when the bed is empty, which is the trade-off for the SLT's capable towing and hauling ability.
