Miles Overview
The 1500 is Ram's full-size pickup, the one that goes up against the F-150 and Silverado with a focus on ride comfort and interior space. It drives with a smooth, car-like feel for a truck, and the steering is light enough for easy around-town maneuvering. The coil-spring rear suspension gives it a noticeably smoother ride than leaf-sprung rivals, especially when you're not hauling. Inside, the cabin is roomy and well laid out, and the available crew cab offers generous rear-seat legroom for adults. The Outdoorsman is a step up from the ST and SLT, adding off-road gear like skid plates and hill-descent control for buyers who work or hunt from their truck. Under the hood is the 5.7L V8 with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, giving you strong low-end grunt for towing and trail duty. It rides on the same coil-spring rear suspension as other 1500s, so you get that smooth highway feel without giving up much payload capacity.
