Miles Overview
The 2007 Dakota is a mid-size pickup that fits between a compact and a full-size, giving you four full doors and a usable bed. It handles well for a truck and feels easy to maneuver in town, though the ride can be a bit firm over bumps. The cabin has a roomy back seat that fits adults, and the front center seat folds into a storage console. Owners report rust on the bed sides and rear wheel arches, plus issues with the air conditioner drain flooding the passenger floor. The SLT sits between the base SXT and the top Laramie, adding power windows and locks plus a nicer cloth interior. Its 4.7L V8 makes 210 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque, and with the six-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive it feels punchy off the line but gets 16 mpg combined.
