Miles Overview
The 2008 Ram 1500 is Dodge's full-size pickup, the truck you'd cross-shop with a Ford F-150 or Chevy Silverado. It's a big truck that rides like one, but the steering is direct and the brakes feel strong for something this size. The cabin is roomy and straightforward, with a high seating position and controls that are easy to reach. Owners generally find the Ram 1500 dependable, though some report rust on older examples and the usual pickup-truck wear. Stepping up to the SLT from the ST adds chrome bumpers, power windows and locks, and a nicer cloth interior. You can option the SLT with four-wheel drive for better traction in snow or mud.
