Miles Overview
The Nitro is Dodge's boxy mid-size SUV, the one that looks like a scaled-down Ram and competes with the likes of the Jeep Liberty and Ford Escape. It drives like a truck, which means a stiff ride and a bit of body roll, but the 4WD system is genuinely confidence-inspiring in snow and on rough terrain. The cabin offers plenty of room for five and a useful rear cargo area, though rear legroom is tight for taller passengers and the seats can stain easily. Owners report electrical gremlins, starting issues, and some trim problems, so it's worth checking the headrests and the radio before you buy.
