Miles Overview
The 2022 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that spans work-ready trims to the high-performance TRX. It competes with the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500 in the half-ton segment. The 1500 drives with a composed, confident feel whether you're cruising the highway or towing a trailer. Its coil-spring rear suspension gives the Ram a notably smooth ride for a full-size truck. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with an available 12-inch touchscreen and upscale materials on higher trims. Stepping up from a Tradesman gets you the Big Horn's chrome exterior accents, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and front fog lamps without jumping to a Laramie's price point. The 3.6L V6 makes 305 horsepower and pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic, which feels responsive around town and keeps the engine relaxed on the highway. The 3.21 rear axle ratio helps this two-wheel drive Big Horn deliver decent fuel economy for a full-size truck, though it trades some low-end grunt for towing heavy loads.
