Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. The Laramie Longhorn adds premium leather, real wood trim, and unique badging over the standard Laramie, giving it a distinctly Western ranch aesthetic. Its 3.0L I6 pairs with an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, delivering a smooth and efficient powertrain that returns 22 mpg combined.
