Miles Overview
The 2017 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra. The Ram 1500 rides with a composed, carlike feel, and the available air suspension smooths out rough pavement impressively. Its cabin is roomy and well built, with the RamBox cargo management system adding handy lockable storage in the bed sides. The Uconnect infotainment system is among the easiest to use in the segment, with crisp graphics and quick responses. The Laramie Longhorn adds genuine Western-inspired styling inside and out, plus leather seats with real wood trim, that you don't get on a standard Laramie. Its 3.0L V6 makes 240 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic; the four-wheel drive gives you traction in snow or mud, but the diesel's real draw is its 27 mpg highway on the highway. The Longhorn's interior uses premium materials throughout, and you can option it with the RamBox bed storage system for extra lockable cargo space.
