Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. Standard cloth seats and a 5-inch touchscreen distinguish the Big Horn from the Laramie and Longhorn above it, while adding a few more conveniences than the base Tradesman. The standard 3.6L V6 pairs with an automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, giving you capable traction in snow or mud without the fuel penalty of the V8. You can option the Big Horn with the RamBox cargo management system, which gives you lockable storage built into the bed sides.
