Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. Heated and ventilated leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and the 8.4-inch Uconnect screen set the Laramie apart from the Big Horn and Rebel trims below it. This Laramie has the 5.7L HEMI V8, which pulls hard from a stop and makes towing feel effortless, paired with an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel drive. The Laramie can be ordered with Ram's air suspension, which gives you a smoother ride than any other half-ton pickup and lets you raise or lower the truck at the touch of a button.
