Miles Overview
The 2023 Ram 1500 Classic is the previous-generation pickup sold alongside the newer 1500, offering a more affordable entry into the half-ton segment. It competes with the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500, but stands apart with its coil-spring rear suspension for a smoother ride. The Hemi V8 delivers strong acceleration and a satisfying exhaust note, while the 8-speed automatic shifts smoothly and responds promptly. The coil-spring rear suspension gives the Classic a more car-like ride than leaf-sprung rivals, though heavy loads can make it feel a bit floaty. Inside, the Classic offers a straightforward cabin with durable materials, comfortable seats, and a user-friendly infotainment system with available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Warlock adds unique blacked-out exterior trim, 17-inch aluminum wheels, and a sportier look over the Tradesman and SLT trims. Its standard 3.6L V6 makes 305 horsepower and pairs with an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, getting 19 mpg combined.
