Miles Overview
The 2017 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra. The Ram 1500 rides with a composed, carlike feel, and the available air suspension smooths out rough pavement impressively. Its cabin is roomy and well built, with the RamBox cargo management system adding handy lockable storage in the bed sides. The Uconnect infotainment system is among the easiest to use in the segment, with crisp graphics and quick responses. The Tradesman is the work-spec Ram, so you get vinyl floors and steel wheels instead of the Big Horn's chrome and cloth, but the capability is the same. Its 3.0L V6 makes 240 horsepower and returns 22 mpg combined, which is better fuel economy than the Hemi V8, though you trade some towing capacity.
