Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. The Rebel is Ram's off-road specialist, trading some highway refinement for a tougher look and better capability over rough terrain than the Big Horn. Under the hood is the burly 5.7L V8 paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, giving you strong acceleration and a brawny exhaust note. It comes with a factory two-inch lift, rugged all-terrain tires, and skid plates, so you can take it on rocky trails without worrying about the undercarriage.
