Miles Overview
The 2017 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra. The Ram 1500 rides with a composed, carlike feel, and the available air suspension smooths out rough pavement impressively. Its cabin is roomy and well built, with the RamBox cargo management system adding handy lockable storage in the bed sides. The Uconnect infotainment system is among the easiest to use in the segment, with crisp graphics and quick responses. The Laramie Longhorn is the top-trim Ram 1500, aimed at buyers who want a truck with genuine wood and leather instead of the Laramie's standard leather. Under the hood is the 5.7L V8 with 395 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed automatic that makes the most of the torque for towing or daily driving. The Longhorn's interior uses real wood trim and premium leather with a Western-inspired pattern, which is unique to this trim.
