Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. Stepping up to the Longhorn brings Western-themed styling with premium leather, real wood trim, and unique badging that sets it apart from the Laramie. The Longhorn's standard air suspension gives it a cushioned ride that rivals luxury SUVs, though the rear coil springs limit payload compared to leaf-spring rivals.
