Miles Overview
The 2016 Ram 1500 is a full-size half-ton pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and Toyota Tundra. On the road, the Ram 1500 feels composed and stable, with steering that is accurate for a truck of its size. The available air suspension delivers a remarkably smooth ride, soaking up bumps that would jolt other pickups. Inside, the cabin is spacious and quiet, with available leather upholstery and a large touchscreen that make it feel more upscale than its price suggests. The Laramie adds leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a larger touchscreen over the Big Horn, making it the luxury-focused choice in the 1500 lineup. Its 3.0L I6 paired with an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive delivers a smooth, quiet ride and the best fuel economy of any Ram 1500, at 23 mpg combined.
