Miles Overview
The 2017 Ram 1500 is a full-size pickup that squares off against the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado, and GMC Sierra. The Ram 1500 rides with a composed, carlike feel, and the available air suspension smooths out rough pavement impressively. Its cabin is roomy and well built, with the RamBox cargo management system adding handy lockable storage in the bed sides. The Uconnect infotainment system is among the easiest to use in the segment, with crisp graphics and quick responses. The Tradesman is the work-spec Ram, with manual windows and locks, steel wheels, and a vinyl floor instead of carpet. Its 3.6L V6 makes 305 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic, giving you enough power for daily chores and decent fuel economy for a full-size truck. The 3.21 rear axle ratio and Class IV hitch come standard, so you can tow a trailer right away without adding options.
