Miles Overview
The 2012 Ram 1500 is the brand's full-size pickup, competing with the F-150 and Silverado in the half-ton segment. It rides on a coil-spring rear suspension, which gives it a smoother, more car-like ride than most rivals. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with available leather and wood trim on higher trims, and the crew cab offers generous rear legroom. With a choice of bed lengths and cab styles, you can set it up for work or family duty. The Tradesman is the work-spec Ram, skipping the chrome and power features of the SLT to keep the price low. Expect a vinyl floor and manual locks inside, but the coil-spring rear suspension still makes it ride smoother than a Ford or Chevy.
