Miles Overview
The Gladiator is Jeep's mid-size pickup, blending Wrangler off-road capability with a 5-foot truck bed. It competes with the Ford Ranger and Toyota Tacoma, but no other mid-size truck offers removable doors and a fold-down windshield. The Gladiator drives like a Wrangler with a bed: solid-axle handling, a busy highway ride, and steering that needs attention. The cabin is functional and durable, with rear seats that fold up to reveal lockable storage bins. The Rubicon adds locking Dana 44 axles, a disconnecting front sway bar, and 33-inch all-terrain tires, making it the serious off-road pick over the Sport S. Its 3.0L V6 makes 260 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, managing 19 mpg combined around town. The front stabilizer bar disconnects at the push of a button, giving you extra axle articulation on the trail without leaving the cab.
