Miles Overview
The 2019 Durango is Dodge's three-row SUV, blending family practicality with muscle-car attitude in a segment that includes the Explorer and Traverse. It accelerates with authority, especially with a V8, and the steering feels direct for a large SUV, though the quick pace can sneak up on you. The cabin offers three rows of seating, plenty of legroom, and a long list of conveniences like rear vents, USB ports, and a user-friendly Uconnect touchscreen. Law-enforcement duty and heavy-duty brakes set the Pursuit apart from the standard Durango, though it shares the same R/T powertrain. Under the hood is the 5.7L V8 with 360 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission and all-wheel drive that returns 17 mpg combined. Expect a firm ride from the police-tuned suspension and the no-frills interior, which trades luxury for durability and easy cleaning.
