Miles Overview
The 2024 Durango is a three-row SUV that keeps Dodge's muscle-car attitude, offering V6 or V8 power in a family-sized package. It squares off against the Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee L, and Kia Telluride, but none of them offer a V8. The Durango drives with a heavy, planted feel, and the V8s make it genuinely quick for an SUV. The ride is firm, especially with the performance-tuned suspension, which is the price of its handling. Inside, the cabin is roomy and functional, with a straightforward layout and available captain's chairs in the second row. Its 5.7L V8 makes 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and returns 17 mpg combined. The sport suspension and selectable steering modes let you tighten things up for back-road fun, but the ride is firm for daily driving.
