Miles Overview
The 2016 Grand Cherokee is a midsize SUV that blends Jeep's off-road heritage with a refined, upscale cabin. It competes with the Ford Explorer, Toyota 4Runner, and Chevrolet Tahoe, offering a more premium feel than most. On pavement it feels composed and quiet, while its available four-wheel-drive systems make it genuinely capable off-road. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with upscale materials in higher trims and generous cargo space for gear. The Summit is the top luxury trim, adding the air suspension and a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system that the Overland and High Altitude don't get. The 5.7L V8 and eight-speed automatic move this Grand Cherokee with authority, though you'll pay at the pump with 17 mpg combined. Quadra-Lift air suspension lets you raise the ride height for trails or lower it for highway cruising, a feature unique to this trim level.
