Miles Overview
The 2016 Grand Cherokee is a midsize SUV that blends Jeep's off-road heritage with a refined, upscale cabin. It competes with the Ford Explorer, Toyota 4Runner, and Chevrolet Tahoe, offering a more premium feel than most. On pavement it feels composed and quiet, while its available four-wheel-drive systems make it genuinely capable off-road. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with upscale materials in higher trims and generous cargo space for gear. The Summit is the top of the regular Grand Cherokee range, above the Overland and High Altitude, with more standard luxury inside. It uses the 3.6L V6 making 290 horsepower, matched to the eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, and it'll manage 21 mpg combined around town and on the highway. This trim brings open-pore wood trim and premium Nappa leather, plus the air suspension that smooths out rougher pavement and helps off-road clearance.
