Miles Overview
The 2018 Grand Cherokee is a mid-size SUV that blends everyday comfort with genuine off-road capability, a combination few rivals match. It lines up against the Ford Explorer, Toyota 4Runner, and Chevrolet Traverse, but stands apart with its available V8 power and trail-ready hardware. On pavement the Grand Cherokee feels composed and quiet, with steering that is accurate if not especially chatty. The ride is generally smooth, though the firmer suspension on performance trims trades some comfort for sharper handling. The cabin offers up to five seats and a generous cargo area, with an available power liftgate and folding rear seats for added utility. The High Altitude adds gloss-black exterior trim, unique wheels, and a blacked-out grille that the Overland doesn't get. Under the hood is the 5.7L V8 making 360 horsepower, paired with the eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that returns 17 mpg combined. Standard Quadra-Lift air suspension lets you raise the body for off-road clearance or lower it for easier entry and highway aerodynamics.
