2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited

The 2012 Grand Cherokee is Jeep's midsize SUV, the one that trades some of the Wrangler's hardcore focus for a more comfortable on-road feel. It drives with a solid, planted feel, and the available V8s give it real punch when you need to merge or pass. The ride is composed and quiet on the highway, though the SRT8's stiffer suspension is noticeably firmer. You get a roomy cabin with comfortable seating for five, and the cargo area is generous for luggage or gear. The Limited is the mid-range Grand Cherokee, giving up the Overland's air suspension and wood trim but keeping the leather seats and upgraded audio you want. Its 3.6L V6 makes 290 horsepower, and the five-speed automatic shifts smoothly; with four-wheel drive you get real traction in snow or mud, though it drinks 19 mpg combined.
