Miles Overview
The 2016 Grand Cherokee is a midsize SUV that blends Jeep's off-road heritage with a refined, upscale cabin. It competes with the Ford Explorer, Toyota 4Runner, and Chevrolet Tahoe, offering a more premium feel than most. On pavement it feels composed and quiet, while its available four-wheel-drive systems make it genuinely capable off-road. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with upscale materials in higher trims and generous cargo space for gear. The Laredo is the most affordable Grand Cherokee, skipping the Limited's leather and upgraded audio to keep the starting price down. Its 3.6L V6 makes 290 horsepower and pairs with an eight-speed automatic and four-wheel drive, returning 21 mpg combined. Standard Quadra-Trac I four-wheel drive gives it genuine trail capability, a step above the Limited's rear-drive base.
