Miles Overview
The 2023 Durango is a three-row SUV that leans into Dodge's muscle-car heritage, offering a blend of family practicality and bold styling. It competes with the Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, and Jeep Grand Cherokee L, but stands apart with its truck-like presence and available V8s. The Durango drives with a satisfyingly solid feel, and the V8 models deliver strong acceleration that makes this big SUV genuinely fun. Inside, the cabin offers generous passenger and cargo space, with a straightforward layout and available premium materials on higher trims. The Pursuit is the police-package version, so you get heavy-duty brakes, a reinforced suspension, and a calibration tuned for pursuit driving rather than luxury. Its 3.6L V6 makes 295 horsepower with all-wheel drive and a automatic transmission, and the powertrain is tuned for quick response and sustained high-speed running. The Pursuit trades the standard Durango's third-row seat for a vinyl rear bench and a full-width steel partition, which is the trade-off for law-enforcement duty.
