Miles Overview
The 2022 Cherokee slots between the Compass and Grand Cherokee, offering a more car-like alternative to Jeep's traditional body-on-frame models. It competes with compact SUVs like the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, and Ford Escape, but brings genuine off-road credibility to the segment. The Cherokee handles confidently on pavement, with composed steering and a ride that filters out most bumps, though the sportier trims feel firmer. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly infotainment system, plus generous cargo space for weekend gear. Stepping up to the Latitude Lux gets you leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, a power liftgate, and a full suite of driver-assistance tech that the base trims leave out.
