Miles Overview
The 2016 Cherokee is Jeep's compact SUV, slotting between the Renegade and the Grand Cherokee with a more car-like unibody design. It competes with the Honda CR-V, Ford Escape, and Toyota RAV4, but brings genuine off-road capability that those rivals lack. On pavement the Cherokee rides smoothly and handles well, while the available Trailhawk trim adds serious trail credentials. The cabin is roomy and well-built, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system. The Overland is the top-tier Cherokee, adding leather upholstery, heated seats, and a premium sound system over the Limited and Trailhawk trims. Under the hood is a 3.2L V6 making 271 horsepower, paired with a nine-speed automatic and four-wheel drive that gives you solid all-weather traction and a 23 mpg combined rating. This Overland rides on 18-inch wheels and includes a power liftgate, so you get the convenience you'd expect from a top-trim SUV.
