Miles Overview
The 2017 Cherokee is Jeep's family-friendly crossover, slotting between the Renegade and Grand Cherokee. It squares off against the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4, but brings genuine off-road capability few rivals match. The Cherokee rides smoothly on pavement, and the available Trailhawk trim adds serious trail credentials with its off-road hardware. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system. The Latitude splits the difference between the base Sport and the loaded Limited, adding key comfort and tech features without the premium price. With the optional 3.2L V6 making 271 horsepower and four-wheel drive, this Cherokee pulls strongly on highway merges and handles light trails with confidence. The Selec-Terrain system lets you dial in sand, mud, or snow modes, giving the Latitude real all-weather capability most crossovers lack.
