Miles Overview
The 2015 Cherokee is Jeep's compact crossover, slotting between the Renegade and Grand Cherokee with a choice of front- or four-wheel drive. It squares off against the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4, offering more off-road capability than most. The Cherokee handles confidently, with responsive steering and a ride that stays composed on pavement and dirt alike. Its cabin offers generous storage and a spacious feel for its size, with a rear seat that folds for longer loads. The Sport is the Cherokee for buyers who want four-wheel drive without paying for leather or a power liftgate, skipping the Latitude's extra comfort gear. Its 2.4L I4 makes 184 horsepower and 171 lb-ft of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic that can feel hesitant from a stop but smooths out once you're rolling, and it returns 24 mpg combined.
