Miles Overview
The 2017 Cherokee is Jeep's family-friendly crossover, slotting between the Renegade and Grand Cherokee. It squares off against the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4, but brings genuine off-road capability few rivals match. The Cherokee rides smoothly on pavement, and the available Trailhawk trim adds serious trail credentials with its off-road hardware. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with comfortable seats and a user-friendly Uconnect infotainment system. Heated leather seats, the 8.4-inch touchscreen, and polished 18-inch wheels set the Limited apart from the Latitude below it. With the optional 3.2L V6 making 271 horsepower, the Limited feels stronger than the base four-cylinder, and the nine-speed automatic shifts smoothly; expect 24 mpg combined.
