Miles Overview
The 2015 Cherokee is Jeep's compact crossover, slotting between the Renegade and Grand Cherokee with a choice of front- or four-wheel drive. It squares off against the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, and Toyota RAV4, offering more off-road capability than most. The Cherokee handles confidently, with responsive steering and a ride that stays composed on pavement and dirt alike. Its cabin offers generous storage and a spacious feel for its size, with a rear seat that folds for longer loads. The Sport is the base Cherokee, so you skip leather and the bigger touchscreen you get on the Latitude and Limited, but you save thousands. Your Cherokee has a 2.4L I4 with 184 horsepower routed through a nine-speed automatic, and 25 mpg combined is good for a compact crossover. Stick with front-wheel drive and you save at the pump, but giving up four-wheel drive means you lose the Trailhawk's off-road hardware entirely.
