Miles Overview
The 2018 Wrangler Unlimited is the four-door version of Jeep's iconic off-roader, blending open-air freedom with room for five. It squares off against the Toyota 4Runner and Ford Bronco, but none match its removable top and doors. On pavement the steering is vague and the ride is bouncy, but off-road it is nearly unstoppable. The cabin is functional and easy to hose out, with plenty of headroom and a commanding view over traffic. Stepping up to the Sahara from a Sport gets you the Uconnect 4 with a 7-inch touchscreen, automatic climate control, and a nicer interior trim. The 2.0L I4 makes 270 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual and four-wheel drive, which is enough for daily driving but won't match the V6 for highway passing. The Sahara's standard Command-Trac part-time 4WD system is fine for trails, but you'll want the Rubicon's Rock-Trac if you plan on serious rock crawling.
