Miles Overview
The Wrangler is the off-road icon, the one people buy to go places most SUVs can't. It's genuinely fun to drive, with a commanding view and a rugged feel that makes every trip an adventure. The ride is on the firm side and the cabin is noisy, especially with the top off, but that's part of the charm. Cargo space is tight with the rear seat up, and getting kids into the back is a squeeze, but the removable top and doors make it worth it. The Rubicon Recon adds heavy-duty Dana 44 axles, Tru-Lok locking differentials front and rear, and an electronic sway-bar disconnect over the Sahara. Its 3.6L V6 makes 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed manual and four-wheel drive, and returns 18 mpg combined. The 4:1 Rock-Trac transfer case and rock rails are standard here, so you can tackle serious trails right off the lot.
