Miles Overview
The 2016 Wrangler is Jeep's iconic off-roader, the one with removable doors and a fold-down windshield that you cross-shop against nothing else quite like it. It's genuinely unstoppable on rough trails, and the solid front axle soaks up big bumps that would rattle other SUVs apart. On pavement the ride is bouncy and the cabin is loud, but that's the trade for the off-road capability you're buying. The back seat is tight and cargo space is minimal, and kids may struggle climbing in, but the two-door's short length makes it easy to park in the city. Manual front locks and roll-up windows set the base Sport apart from the Sahara and Rubicon, but you get the same proven powertrain underneath. Its 3.6L V6 makes 285 horsepower, and the six-speed manual pairs with shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive that's great for snow or trails, returning 18 mpg combined.
