2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon

The 2018 Wrangler JK is the classic two- or four-door off-roader that most people picture when they think of a Jeep, and it's the one to get if you want the traditional fold-down windshield and solid axles. On the road it's a bit truck-like, with a tall ride and wandering steering, but that's the trade for serious off-road capability that few rivals match. The cabin is simple and utilitarian, with hard plastics and a low seating position, but the high roofline gives you great outward visibility and a commanding view of the trail. Cargo space is decent for a compact SUV, and the rear seat folds flat to make room for gear, though the swing-out tailgate needs room behind it to open fully. The Rubicon is the hardcore off-road choice, with locking differentials and a sway-bar disconnect that the Sport S doesn't offer, and it's the trim you want if trails are the priority. The electronic front sway-bar disconnect is a Rubicon exclusive, letting you cycle through a button to gain suspension articulation on the trail without getting out.
