Miles Overview
The 2000 Viper is Dodge's flagship sports car, a two-seat American exotic that trades daily comfort for raw performance. It's a raw, old-school machine: the steering is heavy, the clutch is stiff, and the chassis feels alive with every input. Inside, the cabin is snug and driver-focused, with minimal amenities and a low seating position that puts you right on the road. Reliability is about what you'd expect from a low-volume performance car of this era: solid drivetrain, but electrical gremlins and suspension wear can pop up as the miles climb. This GTS is the fixed-roof coupe next to the roadster RT/10, adding a trunk and a stiffer body structure for sharper handling. The 8.0L I10 drives the rear wheels through a manual transmission, and you will feel every pound of torque deep in your chest. Expect 14 mpg combined and a ride that is genuinely punishing on rough pavement.
