Miles Overview
The 2023 Civic is offered as both a sedan and a hatchback, with the hatch adding useful cargo versatility to the compact car class. It competes with the Toyota Corolla, Mazda3, and Hyundai Elantra, standing out for its refined ride and upscale interior. The Civic handles with poise and steering that feels direct and well-weighted, making it genuinely enjoyable on a back road. Inside, the cabin is spacious for the class, with high-quality materials and a clean, modern design that rivals more expensive cars. Standard automatic climate control and push-button start set the LX apart from the base model, though it keeps the 16-inch steel wheels and cloth seats. The 2.0L I4 makes 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque, paired with a CVT that keeps the engine in its sweet spot for 33 mpg combined. The LX is the only trim without a moonroof or blind-spot monitoring, so you get a simpler cabin and a lower starting price.
